AS Roma considering a summer move for Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino

AS Roma are said to be considering a summer move for Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino who is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the season.

Firmino has decided against renewing his terms on Merseyside with the Brazil international looking for a fresh challenge elsewhere despite Liverpool’s earnest efforts to retain the 31-year-old.

According to a report from the Italian publication Calciomercato ( via The Liverpool Echo), it is claimed that the Serie A big boys AS Roma are keen on Firmino’s signature and could move in for the Liverpool No.9 once he leaves the club.

The Italian side have identified Firmino as a viable replacement for England international Tammy Abraham whose future at the Europa Conference League holders remains up in the air with a return to the Premier League rumoured to be on the cards.

Roma could table a pre-contract offer of two years plus the option of another year for Firmino who has other clubs from Europe chasing his coveted signature with the season heading into the business end.
