Ben Woodburn makes move to Hearts in a season-long loan spell

Wales international Ben Woodburn has made his move to Hearts in a loan spell that will run until the next summer window, confirmed Liverpool through a statement on the club’s official website.

Woodburn signs for the Scottish Premiership outfit in this summer’s transfer window following speculation that the player was not a part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans on Merseyside.

Despite his impressive breakthrough up the ranks at Anfield and the expectations surrounding his talents, the Welshman has been unable to cement a regular berth on the teamsheet for Jurgen Klopp’s side these past couple of seasons.

Another move away from Anfield on loan will ensure a regular spell of minutes on the pitch for the 21-year-old Woodburn who in spite of the recent setbacks remains a talent for the future in Jurgen Klopp’s eyes with the Liverpool boss keen on utilising youth talent at his disposal.

The likes of Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott have been handed significant involvement in recent times by Klopp whose players have gotten the new season off to a flying start with two wins in two games.
