Curtis Jones speaks on the standing of Jurgen Klopp within Liverpool’s squad

Liverpool FC starlet Curtis Jones has voiced his hope of being a star presence at his boyhood side for many more years to come. The 2019-20 season was the 19-year old Jones’ breakthrough campaign in the Reds’ first-team squad. He had been a major part of the Liverpool FC youth development squads prior to making his debut for Klopp’s side this season.

Jones also paid homage to his coach Jurgen Klopp, whom the midfielder labeled as “Perfect”. The Liverpool FC manager’s praises were sung by the young Scouser who made his first-team debut under the German coach in January 2019.

“He is perfect for any type of player – defender, midfielder, attacker, ‘keeper, anything – because he is somebody that is, he’s like a father figure to anybody.

According to the 19-year old Jones, Klopp’s character was what made him stand out among other coaches in world football. The England U-19 international added that such was the greatness of the Reds manager that he was deeply respected by every member of the playing squad, irrespective of rank.

“It doesn’t matter if you are captain, vice-captain, young player or a regular starter, he is somebody that you respect so high.

In other news, Jones will be seen wearing the No.17 jersey for Liverpool FC from next season onwards. The number had been vacant since the past two seasons, with ex-Reds defender Ragnar Klavan being the last holder of it.
