Inter Milan emerge as suitors for Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas

Liverpool’s Greek full-back Kostas Tsimikas is now a target for Serie A champions Inter Milan who remain on the hunt for defensive reinforcement in this summer’s transfer window.

Reports from Italian news outlet Calciomercato claim that the 25-year-old Tsimikas has been identified by the San Siro outfit as a probable target in their search for a new left-sided wing-back.

Tsimikas has been earlier linked with a move away from Merseyside ahead of the start of the new campaign with the player’s debut season in the Liverpool shirt witnessing sparse first-team involvement coming his way as Andy Robertson was a regular name on the starting teamsheet for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Moreover, James Milner has proved an able deputy to Robertson in the left-back role and with the veteran Englishman set to stay at the club for the upcoming campaign, there had been the talk of Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp keen on shipping out Tsimikas on a season-long loan spell this summer.

Liverpool are not expected to make any more defensive signings this transfer window with Ibrahima Konate being the first and only purchase of the summer so far for the Reds who with the French central defender’s addition have immensely bolstered their options at the back.
