Juventus make contact with Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino’s agent

Juventus have reportedly made contact with Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino’s agent with the Italians stepping up efforts to sign the 30-year-old in this summer’s transfer window.

Firmino has emerged as a top target for the Juventus camp of late with the Brazilian’s fall down the pecking order at Anfield making rumours do the rounds over his long-term future in the Liverpool shirt.

According to a report from Goal Brazil, Juventus have touched base with the Liverpool forward’s agent in the hopes of persuading the player to make the move to the Serie A and bring curtains down on his seven-year-long stint on Merseyside.

The 30-year-old Firmino enters the final 12 months of his current terms at Anfield and Liverpool spending big money on snapping up Darwin Nunez this summer has fueled speculation over Jurgen Klopp’s willingness to part ways with the former.

Klopp, however, has time and again voiced lavish praise for Firmino’s talents and it would certainly be surprising should the Liverpool head coach sanction the fan favourite’s sale with the new season close to kicking off.
