Liverpool fans get happier about the injury situation

Liverpool superstar Naby Keita is reportedly set to miss about two weeks of footballing action after picking up a hamstring injury during the international friendlies while Sadio Mane’s situation will be assessed for a few days after going through a scan.

There was a list of injuries set for Liverpool during the international break this month with African trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita all picking up knocks with their respective countries. Even central defender Virgil Van Dijk had a rib problem but was pictured in training alongside Egyptian star Mohamed Salah on Thursday.

However, Liverpool is aware that they need to have a fully fit squad if they want to compete for glory in the Premier League as well as the Champions League and FA Cup. There was a big worry during the international break when Liverpool superstars kept picking up injuries one after another but the good news is that the extent of these problems are not as severe as many would have thought.

Liverpool confirmed that Sadio Mane underwent a scan this week and his situation will be assessed after the game against Huddersfield Town but the Senegalese winger will take no action on the trip to the Kirklees Stadium on Saturday.

When Naby Keita had to be piggybacked off the pitch in Africa after the Guinea midfielder held the back of his thigh. The former Red Bull Leipzig star also underwent a scan which revealed a hamstring issue but Keita will miss only two weeks of football. The three games that the 23-year-old will sit out would be Huddersfield, Cardiff and Red Star Belgrade. Keita should be fit enough for selection against Arsenal when Liverpool makes the trip to the Emirates on November 3rd.
