Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai was not available for the club’s match against Greuther Furth due to an ankle injury he sustained during training.
Initially, there were concerns that the 22-year-old attacking midfielder could face an extended period on the sidelines. However, it has been confirmed that the injury is only minor, providing some relief for the club and the player.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp decided not to include Szoboszlai in the match against Greuther Furth as a precautionary measure. This decision was taken due to an ankle injury the 22-year-old midfielder suffered during training.
Klopp’s decision to rest Szoboszlai is aimed at ensuring the player’s full recovery ahead of the Premier League kick-off, which is less than three weeks away.
Liverpool signed the Hungarian star from RB Leipzig for a transfer fee of approximately £60 million following an outstanding season in Germany.
