Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton completes loan move to Blackburn Rovers

Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton has completed his loan move to Blackburn Rovers in a season-long deal for the upcoming campaign, confirmed a statement from the club’s official website.

The teenage midfield talent enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last term at Anfield, making nine appearances for Jürgen Klopp’s Merseysiders, following Morton’s impressive displays at the youth level.

Morton’s move to Ewood Park this summer will allow for more first-team action for the 19-year-old which would have been a priority for the Liverpool head coach Klopp to foster the youngster’s development.

There had been speculation doing the rounds of late that Liverpool could be forced to rethink their decision of sending Morton out on a long-term loan following yet another injury setback for the senior squad member Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

A hamstring trouble for the England international midfielder could sideline him until October and with Liverpool not bringing in a new midfield player in the transfer window, Klopp was rumoured to be mulling over his plans for retaining Morton.
