Liverpool ready to offer a lucrative deal to sign Moroccan star Sofyan Amrabat

Sofyan Amrabat has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, and now there is a huge update on the club’s pursuit of the player.

The Reds are getting ready to make a formal offer for the Fiorentina midfielder, according to the Liverpool Echo.

According to the source, Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of Amrabat and is working to lure him to Merseyside, where the club is ready to present a proposal of €40 million (£35.5 million).

It is no secret that Liverpool wants to revamp their midfield unit in 2023, and the club has already been linked with a number of excellent players. Over the previous few weeks, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Jude Bellingham have all been linked to the Merseyside club, but it seems that the decision-makers at Anfield have not yet taken any action.

However, strengthening the centre of the pitch should be the top priority. The Reds have already signed Cody Gakpo to strengthen the forward line while Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota are injured.

All three of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner’s contracts expire at the end of this year, but given Liverpool’s difficult position in the Premier League, they might need to go forward with their midfield rebuild this month.

Amrabat would be a significant addition for Klopp, since the German coach desperately needs midfield reinforcements if his team is to contend for a top-four spot in the second half of the season. The Moroccan international drew the Reds’ attention with his World Cup performances in Qatar last month, where he helped his team shatter numerous World Cup records.

Having said that, it would be a fantastic opportunity for Klopp to inject new energy into the team’s core if Liverpool were to sign Amrabat this month.
