Liverpool to relent to Kostas Tsimikas’s Anfield exit this summer

Greek international full-back Kostas Tsikikas could be set for a move away from Merseyside just a summer into his joining Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield camp, according to reports from the Express.

It is understood that Serie A outfit Napoli are in line to extend an offer for the Liverpool defender who has been unable to secure a first=team berth at his new club ahead of the start of the new season.

Jurgen Klopp had decided to bring in Tsimikas in the last summer transfer window to provide some much-needed cover in the left-back role for Andy Robertson, however, the new signing featured in just two top-flight outings across his debut campaign at Anfield.

With Napoli on the hunt for a new left-sided full-back option in the ongoing transfer window and Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri proving a difficult target to land this summer, the Italian club could shift their attention towards Tsimikas.

Liverpool have the likes of James Milner and Neco Williams to deputise for Andy Robertson in the left-back spot should the Scott be given some rest or suffer an injury niggle.
