Liverpool willing to part ways with starlet Sepp Van den Berg on loan

Jurgen Klopp is keen on shipping out teenage defensive talent Sepp Van den Berg on loan in spite of the injury crisis underway at Anfield which has left the Liverpool FC boss bereft of any of his three first-choice options.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Championship side Preston North End’s interest in making a move for the Dutch starlet is concrete and the Merseysiders may not stand in Van den Berg’s way should he choose to leave Anfield for a temporary stint elsewhere.

Despite the potential season-long absence of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez due to injuries and Joel Matip’s recurring fitness issues, Klopp has gone ahead with drafting makeshift solutions in the heart of the backline by fielding Jordan Henderson and Fabinho at centre-back rather than give an opportunity to Van den Berg.

Business in the ongoing transfer window seems unlikely for the Premier League holders at this point of time and Klopp may resort to the usage of fringe options within his first-team ranks to make up for the injury concerns.
