Liverpool youngster Stefan Bajcetic pens a new long-term contract

Liverpool’s promising midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has signed a new long-term contract for his breakthrough season on Merseyside this term.

The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal that would see him stay put with Liverpool until 2027 with Jurgen Klopp’s side tying down the Spanish talent to extended terms following his impressive run of displays at the senior level.

Bajcetic, who was snapped up from La Liga outfit Celta Vigo in 2020, made his full Premier League debut in last week’s goalless draw against Chelsea and his performance was one to applaud despite Liverpool being held to a stalemate on home turf.

According to a report from Goal, it is claimed that talks were ongoing between the club and the player since the summer and Liverpool have now ensured that Bajcetic will be one to watch out for in the Reds shirt over the coming years.

The midfield options at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal have been subject to much criticism this season for their underwhelming displays and injury troubles with the manager all but certain to rebuild his engine room in the summer.
