Sheffield United, widely regarded as the frontrunners to land Rhian Brewster’s signing this summer, have reportedly agreed upon a £17 million transfer fee with Liverpool FC over the young striker’s move to Brammall Lane, according to reports by The Sun.
The 20-year old Brewster is tipped to seal an exit from Anfield after it has become clear that first-team involvement will be hard to come by for the highly-promising forward due to the arrival of Diogo Jota in a big-money move earlier this summer.
However, the Reds have been persistent to their initial demands of putting a buy-back clause in Brewster’s exit from the club. It is now speculated that Liverpool FC will include a £40 million buy-back clause in the deal involving Brewster’s move to Chris Wilder’s side.
Such a move on Jurgen Klopp’s behest would ensure that if Brewster emerges as a potentially quality forward during his stint for the Blades, Liverpool FC will be in pole position to secure their soon-to-be-former player’s signing on the cheap.
