Roberto Firmino reportedly reaches an agreement to sign for Barcelona

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has reportedly reached an agreement to sign for Barcelona this summer when he leaves Anfield.

The Brazil international has refused to extend his terms on the Merseyside beyond the end of the season despite well-documented interest from the Reds officials and Jurgen Klopp to renew the player’s contract.

According to a report from The Daily Mail, it is claimed that the soon-to-be free agent Firmino could be on his way to Camp Nou later this year with Barcelona emerging as the frontrunners to land the 31-year-old.

Chelsea and Galatasaray have been previously credited with an interest in moving in for Firmino who is out of contract at Anfield come the end of the season as he looks to seek a fresh challenge elsewhere after a prolific spell in the Liverpool shirt.

Liverpool’s domestic rivals Chelsea have struggled with their current attacking options and have their sights on Firmino to provide the answer to their problems with the Blues looking to bring in a new No.9 in the summer transfer window.
