Watford 3-0 Liverpool : 3 Significant Lessons We Learnt From The Hornets/Reds Clash

Watford played host to Liverpool Football Club as action returned to the Premier League at the weekend. This was following mid-week activities as Bayern Munich smashed Chelsea 0-3 at the Bridge.

The score between Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Watford was unbelievable as Klopp and side would have more questions to answer in the days ahead.

Following Watford 3-0 success win over the Liverpool side, we evaluate three (3) significant lessons we learned from the Hornets/Reds tie.

LIVERPOOL FINALLY BEATEN

The Reds were unbeaten while going into the fixture against Watford but the unexpected was destined to happen as Watford found their way past Liverpool.

It was an interesting feat to behold as the Reds saw themselves concede three times after the intermission as defeat finally beckoned on them away on the road.

The Reds have not lost any match in the Premier League prior to this fixture but they were held spellbound by the Hornets who ensured their downfall for the first time in the League this term.

WATFORD MEANT BUSINESS

The home side proved a tough nut to crack as they could not allow Liverpool to have their way when both sides clashed in the Premier League.

The match was the talk of the moment (town) as goals kept flying into Liverpool’s net in the second period. This will be much to Jürgen Klopp’s dismay as greater battles lie ahead of his team in the season.

The defeat was not confirmed but until the third goal came from Skipper and club legend Troy Deeney in the 81st minutes. This caused celebrations all around as Liverpool’s arch-rivals were happy that the Red’s unbeaten run have come to an end even when we least expected it.

LIVERPOOL UNDONE LIKE CHELSEA

Just like Liverpool was beaten 0-3 at the Vicarage Road at the weekend, the Blues were beaten mercilessly at home against Bayern.

The Bavarian giants used Chelsea to play a kind of snooker on the pitch while the Reds were meant to be used to play table draft as similarity blights the defeat of both teams as we have seen in these games.

This got both sides to lose 0-3 in those matches as the season continued to progress in earnest with hope for a better result in the coming fixtures.
