‘We dropped a little bit’- says Liverpool star on the club’s recent underwhelming form

Liverpool FC did suffer from a dip in their form during the Project Restart of last season’s Premier League title-winning campaign for Jurgen Klopp’s men, voiced the Reds number 1, Alisson Becker.

The Brazilian was in fine form last Sunday as his penalty save helped his side hand a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Alisson’s save of the Blues’ midfielder’s Jorginho in the closing 45 minutes of the game ensured that Liverpool FC kept a clean sheet after as many as six games.

And the shot-stopper insists that the Reds will now focus on achieving a consistent run of form in the long run, something that had defined Liverpool FC’s 2019-20 Premier League journey.

“We know that we dropped a little bit, we don’t know why,” said the 27-year old.

“It wasn’t something we wanted to do but we knew we had to go back to our path if we want to be competitive this season for the title, because I believe this season the level is higher.”

Alisson will be hoping to be on his best when Arsenal pay a visit to Anfield on Monday for Liverpool FC’s third game of the 2020-21 Premier League season.
